Our service starts with your arrival at Jammu Railway Station, you will be met our representative at the Station and transfers you to Katra. Check in to the Hotel. Overnight stay in Katra.
Morning after breakfast trek to Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine (14kms), Take the Helicopter for the Shrine. Ponies can also be arranged by self for the trek, return back to Katra late in evening/night, dinner and overnight stay at Katra. Mata Vaishno Devi temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Shakti and is the second most visited religious shrine in India after Tirupati Balaji Temple.
After breakfast make a move towards Pahalgam. Pahalgam is known as valley of shepherds and famous for Indian film industry. Enjoy Nature’s charm. Overnight stay in Hotel.
After breakfast make a move towards Srinagar. Enroute you have a rare opportunity to visit Saffron Fields, Awantipura Ruins & Sulphur Spring. After refreshment at hotel visit local sightseeing places in srinagar like., Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden & Cheshmashahi Overnight stay in Hotel/Houseboat.
Total distance between Srinagar and Kargil is approximately 240 kilometers. This will be about 10-12 hours journey depending on your speed and breaks you take. Travel on this road and you will know why Kashmir is called paradise on earth. Enjoy lush green, awe-inspiring vistas all days long and travel through some of the famous places like Sonamarg and Drass. Take a lunch break at either of these places and enjoy the delicious Kashmiri food, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. If you are a non-vegetarian, you are in for a treat. Reach Kargil by evening and check into a hotel for the night.
Kargil to Leh distance is approximately 140 kilometers. Vistas from here will change. Greenery will start to vanish and landscapes will turn into a cold desert. That as a matter of fact would already have happened once you crossed Drass; but whatever little greenery was left too will be gone after Kargil. From here on, it will be a beautiful barren wasteland called Ladakh. Start as early as you can, probably by 7 AM because there are several places on this stretch that are worth a visit. If you started early, then it will also give you some time to reach Leh before dark; and find a suitable hotel if you haven’t booked in advance.
Stay for the day in Leh. Rest and give your body some time to adjust to high altitude. Main task for this day would be to arrange permits for visiting other areas in Ladakh. Once you have the permits in hand, you can also use this day to visit some local places within the town like Shanti Stoopa, Leh palace or Leh market. After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft). Arrive at Diskit by Afternoon. Rest of the day, one is free to explore Diskit, Hunder Villages and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Diskit and Hunder Village. Overnight Hotel.
After an early breakfast we check out from Camp or hotel and drive towards Hunder where you have opportunity to ride on a bacterian camel (double humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high altitude desert with snowcapped mountains on the horizon. On the return stop at Diskit which is the headquarter town of Nubra Valley. Stroll around the bazaar observing the shops and local people going about their daily chores. Diskit is famous for 515 years old Buddhist Monastery, lying magnificently situated on a hilltop, facing the entire Valley. Later we drive towards PangongTso via Agham & Shyok Valley. Some of the road patches in areas are extremely tough (towards nubra side) in terms of road conditions but no doubt the journey is very scenic! Later after crossing this adventurous part we drive further towards Durbuk & Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of Changthang and finally you can have a sudden view of the Pangong lake situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 133 Kms long with half of its running the other side of the "Indo China Border". After drive back to Leh via Changla Pass 5486 Mtrs Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Leh.
After Breakfast leave for Kargil, en route visit Gurudwara Pather Sahib, Alchi monastery, Moon landscape, Lamayuru (Oldest Monastery in Ladakh) and Giant Maitreya at Mulbekh. Arrive at Kargil by evening. Overnight Stay in Kargil .
After early Breakfast drive to Srinagar passing through Drass, the second coldest inhabited Place on earth and you can have spectacular view of Kargil War famous Peaks Tiger Hill and other Peaks. Arrive at Srinagar by Evening Over Night in Srinagar Houseboat /Hotel.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Jammu Railway Station /Airport for your onward journey with memories of A Lifetime Trip.
